The Club is Evolving
With our debut and founding shows on July 1st and September 9th being such a great success, and with such a diverse range of music presented so far, which included the genres of Folk, and Trad inspired Indie folk, the committee at Ireland’s newest blues club have identified the natural evolution of the club is to change the name in its early beginnings, driven by the music.
The desire for musicians to pay their homage to the evolution of the blues right back to its roots in folk and traditional music, the essence of where the blues came from is ever increasing.
So with our third show of the year around the corner on Saturday December 10th, It’s a natural choice to rename the club to honour the beginnings of the blues while the club still in its early beginnings!
We are proud to announce, Ireland’s newest blues club – is now Mountain Blues & Roots Club, who have adopted Saint George’s Mitchelstown in the valley of the Nagle Mountains, as their spiritual home, and a fine home it is indeed!
Church Blues & Roots Club welcomes their house blues band, along with world class special guests, for a series of club concerts throughout the year. Special guests may include touring bands, singer/songwriters and solo guitarists each with a style all of their own.
Touring blues artists and bands can book to play at our blues & roots club concert nights. They can also book the venue to play their own show on any date of their choice during the year (subject to availability) which can be jointly presented by Church Blues & Roots Club if they wish.
Artists who wish to play at the venue at other times of the year, may avail of our promo package offered to all musician members.
